Procurement leadership
Michael Anderson directs procurement and supplier strategy at EMARAS, with responsibility for sourcing relationships that can meet international delivery requirements.
He assesses technical capability, available capacity, quality systems, material supply and the cost of rework or delay.
His sourcing decisions consider the economics of the full programme, including costs beyond the quoted unit price.
Supplier agreements set out measurable specifications, production milestones, change procedures and acceptance requirements.
When diversifying supply, he checks that alternative manufacturers can meet the same product standards and fulfil allocated orders.
Vietnam | Cai Mep Footwear Supply Development
For Northline Performance's Cai Mep Footwear Supply Development programme, Anderson addresses dependence on the client's existing production base.
The programme assesses five manufacturers on capacity, technical execution, material control, multi-model production and delivery reliability; two progress to pilot orders.
Approved files specify materials, colours, size grading, stitching, outsoles, labels and packing for 54 product variants.
Pilot production tests capability before volume orders, with deviations corrected against the approved samples and specifications.
He monitors upper materials, outsoles, insoles and packaging against production schedules to identify shortages before they affect dispatch.
Orders are allocated according to proven capability, available capacity and the manufacturers' ability to meet delivery dates.
Size-curve checks identify shortages in individual variants even when the total pair count is correct.
Production approval, quality sign-off and export documentation are checked before cargo moves to Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal.

Anderson negotiates clear responsibilities, dependable performance and workable remedies when a supplier misses an agreed requirement.
He includes freight, working-capital use, customer acceptance and the cost of nonconforming goods in procurement assessments.
His work gives clients additional manufacturing options while maintaining the product specifications and delivery standards promised to buyers.
